Crow Relief Trip Part II - Summary

Two vans with thirteen Isaiah 58:12 volunteers traveled back to Crow Agency, Montana on October 13th to complete disaster relief work that began on our previous trip. Volunteers worked long hours hanging dry wall, mudding and sanding, laying sub-flooring and helping with electrical rewiring. The work was exhausting but rewarding.

They completed nearly all the inside work that was able to be done until the new kitchen cabinets and bathroom fixtures are installed.  The owners of the home were blessed and very grateful.  Theygraciously treated all the volunteers to donuts, a snack tray and Indian Tacos the day they left to make the long journey home.  The owners’ son and hiswife, who had been living with them, are expecting their first child in January, and now the house should be ready for them to move back in by then.

Fulton also met with tribal leaders and elders about moving forward with the MergingStreams project and establishing a financial institution for the Crow Nation, so they can have control over their money and use it to benefit their people.

The team stayed at the St. Dennis Catholic Church again and was grateful for Father Charles and Sister Loretta’s warm hospitality. It was a great blessing to be able to serve on the reservation, and we would like to thank all those who volunteered, donated, and prayed for this trip.

Thanks Again & God Bless,

-The Isaiah 58:12 Team
